I've had a relatively interesting week. I was doing my bit for charidee last night, compering a 'funkraiser' (part funk night, part fundraiser). On Friday I was on the radio reviewing pop songs. You can listen here, my bit starts 1hr 21mins in. If you did listen or you do listen on the Iplayer, I must say I wasn't drunk, I was just in a giddy mood.
Also this weekend we set up broadband at the flat, so I now have 24hr access to the computer, instead of 2hrs at my local library. I'm not sure what this will mean in terms of this blog, but it'll certainly mean I'll have to learn how to delete my recent internet history.
I also bought a 58p bottle of shampoo on Friday (It's a glamorous lifestyle I lead), it was from a well known pharmacist so it must be legitimate. But I must admit it did make wonder if it had been tested before it hit the shelves. I'll let you know if I go blind in the next couple of weeks. It reminded me of when I once bought a pack of 3 condoms for £1, again it was from a shop, not a bloke selling them in pubs along with pirate DVDs. I have to say at this point I would'nt recommend getting cheap condoms, just because if you get someone pregnant whilst using a £1 condom, you'll probably have to tell people you didn't use any contraception, just to avoid embarrassment.
Talking of pregnancy and children, I was hanging out with kids over the weekend. firstly,
I met my friend's newborn baby, (see pic at top of the blog) as you can probably see I'm so uncomfortable with babies plus they weigh heavier than you think. They would make good dumbbells. I also watched the Carling Cup Final with a 5yr old Man Utd fan, cos I wasn't supporting Man Utd and because I am a petty man, I was still winding him up. Luckily there were no tears, I'm talking more about me than him, especially when Rooney scored the winner.
And Finally... 'Her with one permanent job', has been struggling with a cold for the last week. Prior to that I had it. I'm now thinking if this cold sticks around much longer, I might try to get it to pay some rent.
Til next week, stay safe!
